Clinical Medical Laboratory Technologist Licensing Study Certificate
A full-time bridge training program for internationally educated medical laboratory professionals. It reviews core laboratory disciplines and Canadian standards and includes preparation for the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) general medical laboratory technologist certification examination.

Schedule and Tuition
- Duration: 18 weeks, full time (375 hours; six months or less)
- Tuition: CAD $5,975. Tuition may be paid in instalments. See Student Loans and Financial Aid.
- Not included in tuition: textbooks, the LOA fee, and the international student fee (CAD $1,000, where applicable)

Admission Requirements
Academic
- Post-graduate education in a specific skill or regulated profession, or equivalent.
- Applicants are typically internationally trained in the related occupation (NOC 32120, medical laboratory technologists).
- Apply through the Program Registration Portal to receive a free initial qualifying assessment. You will then receive instructions to upload your credentials securely.
International Applicants
- Domestic and international applicants may apply.
- This program runs six months or less. A study permit and a Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) are not required.
- Completion does not qualify a student for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP).
Delivery and Assessment
Delivery
Full-time instruction in English, delivered in person at the Vaughan campus or online through the College learning management system (LMS). Online students must meet the College System Requirements. No internship or placement is required.
Assessment
Each module or subject ends with an online multiple-choice examination and assignments. The pass mark is 60%.

- To practise as a medical laboratory technologist in Ontario, graduates must also pass the CSMLS certification examination and meet the registration requirements of the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario, including a vulnerable sector check.
