Obligation of legal services providers to ensure confidential information and communications of clients are properly safeguarded and preserved

The duty to safeguard privacy and evidence obtained through social media; informing authorities and turning over evidence to authorities when obtained by social media

Substantive:

Social media contents as evidence in criminal or civil litigation: use of social media, web-sites for collection evidence, contacting witnesses by legal services providers. Privacy issues in computer use and sharing documents will also be discussed

The use of social media to investigate, gather evidence, contacting witnesses; privacy issues in sharing information with third parties; waiver of right of confidentiality
